Parts

NOTE: Save any spare screws left over at the end of each stage of this build. They may be needed in later stages!

Materials: The three Ladder Guides are metal and the Cable Runs are plastic.

Build

Adding Ladder Guides and Cables

NOTE: The three Ladder Guides are all slightly different. They are designated A, B, C from the largest to smallest:

Step 1

Retrieve your Ladder 9 fire truck. Fit the pins of Ladder Guide A to this position on the Bed Section and align the screw holes.

Make sure the waterway cradle (circled below) is on the correct side, as shown:

Secure Ladder Guide A into place with two (2) Type C screws:

While not mentioned in the instructions just yet, I recommend rotating the Pipe B/C assembly (from Stage 62) around and pushing the pin of Pipe B down into  the matching hole of the waterway cradle, as shown:

Step 2

Fit the pins of Ladder Guide B to this end position of the Bed Section, aligning the screw holes as shown:

Secure Ladder Guide B into place with two (2) Type C screws:

Step 3

Retrieve your Upper/Lower Midsection assembly from the previous stage. Fit the pins of Ladder Guide C to this end position of the Lower Midsection, aligning the screw holes as shown:

Secure Ladder Guide B into place with two (2) Type C screws:

Step 4

Press the three pins of each Cable Run into the matching holes at these locations of the lower Ladder Guides.

The pin arrangement of these Cable Runs will only allow them to be installed one way:

Step 5

Slide the Upper/Lower Midsection assembly into the open end of the Bed Section, aligning it as shown.

Again, it may take a bit of force to pop the Midsection into the Bed Section:

Thoughts

Oh, we are getting really close to the end now. I have been truly enjoying this build and can’t wait to see the final result!
