“Now you’ll assemble the right side of the Lower Midsection.”
The steps of this stage will be very similar to the previous stage.
Materials: All of these parts are plastic.
Aerial Lower Midsection Right
As in the previous stage, I used my Black Artistro Paint Pen to give the bumper on this Stop Plate a quick coat of paint:
Push the D-shaped pin of the Stop Plate into the matching hole at this location on the Boom Extender, as shown.
Just like the last Stop Plate, I used my hobby knife to scrape off the white paint from the pin and then super glued this part in place:
Fit the D-shaped recess of the Water Pipe Bracket onto the matching post at this location of the Boom Extender:
Secure the Water Pipe Bracket into place from below with one (1) Type C screw.
This screw was supplied in the previous stage:
Retrieve your Lower Midsection assembly from the previous stage. Fit these two assemblies together, as shown:
Secure these Lower Midsections together with two (2) Type I screws.
These screws were supplied in the previous stage:
We have now built the section of the aerial boom that will slide inside the Bed Section we mounted to the ladder Turntable. Keep this assembly nearby as we will need it again in Stage 68.
