Return to the BUILD
“In the next four stages, you’ll assemble the Lower Midsection and Upper Midsection of the aerial before telescoping them together. First, assemble the left side of the Lower Midsection.”
Materials: All of these parts are plastic.
NOTE: Save any spare screws left over at the end of each stage of this build. They may be needed in later stages!

The small round bumper on this Stop Plate would have been made of hard rubber to protect the aerial as the ladder was retracted. Therefore, I used my Black Artistro Paint Pen to give them a quick coat of paint:
Push the D-shaped pin of the Stop Plate into the matching hole at this location on the Lower Midsection, as shown.
This part was a very tight fit. Therefore, I used my hobby knife to scrape off the white paint from the pin and then super glued this part in place:
This was a very short stage, and we will install similar Stop Plates in the next three stages as well. I actually grabbed all four of them and did the paint mod to them in advance.
