Components for the Roof and Two More Tools

Components for the Roof

Step 1

Retrieve your Body assembly from the previous stage. Fit the Boom Support to the matching shaped recess on the Box Frame Roof Section.

This does not appear to be directional, so it can be fitted either way. You may notice in this pictures that I have not yet fastened down my Box Frame Roof Section – this is because I was still working on my Custom Lighting mod:

Secure the Boom Support to the Box Frame Roof Section with one (1) Type B screw:

Step 2

Press the pins of the Accessory into the matching holes of the Large Accessory Storage.

I found it easier to place the Accessory upside down (pins up), then press the Large Accessory Storage down onto it, as shown. These pins are different sizes, so this will only fit correctly one way:

Push a Water Cooler down onto the large circular post inside the Large Accessory Storage, as shown:

You might need to use a few drops of super glue during these steps to make sure the various roof components stay in place:

Push the pins on the bottom of the Large Accessory Storage into the matching holes at this location on the Box Frame Roof Section.

These pins are different sizes, so this will only fit correctly one way:

Step 3

Push the Sand Bottle down onto this large circular post of the Tarp (Blanket) Box, as shown:

Step 4

Push the other Water Cooler down onto the large circular post inside the Water Cooler Storage, as shown:

Installing Two More Tools

Step 1

Open this upper Storage Compartment on the left side of the Body assembly, then slide out the Shelf:

Press the two pins of the Hydraulic Ram Jack into the matching holes of the Shelf, as shown:

Slide the Shelf back into the Storage Compartment:

Step 2

Open this rear Storage Compartment on the left side of the Body assembly, then slide out the Shelf:

Press the two pins of the Hydrant Wrench into the matching holes of the Shelf, then slide the Shelf back into the Storage Compartment:

Thoughts

I was curious if all the Storage Compartments of our FDNY Tower Ladder 9 model would have things in them or not. I am very happy to see that it does appear that we will be adding small tools and details to each one! Once again, keep the unused Ladder someplace safe for now, however, the Water Cooler Storage will be installed in the next stage.
