Parts

Materials: All of the parts in this stage are plastic.

NOTE: Save any spare screws left over at the end of each stage of this build. They may be needed in later stages!

Build

Assembling the Platform

Step 1

Press the large D-shaped pin at the bottom of the Nozzle Swivel Base into the matching hole at this location on the Platform Floor.

This step is normally done later in the stage, but installing it now may make it easier. Note that this Swivel Base should be oriented so the curved upper end is facing to the side, as shown:

Step 2

Retrieve your Platform sides assembly from Stage 06. Align the six posts on the bottom of the Platform sides into the matching holes on top of the Platform Floor, as shown.

You may need to slightly bend the Nozzle Swivel Base out of the way to clear the opening in the Platform sides:

Secure the Platform sides to the Platform Floor from below with six (6) Type A screws:

Step 2

Retrieve your two Piston assemblies from Stage 50. Fit the T-post of one Piston cylinder into this hole of the Platform Back (circled below).

The extendable portion of this Piston should be facing towards the bottom of the Platform and the flat tab at the other end (arrow below) should rest against the Platform sides, as shown:

In the same way, fit the T-post of the other Piston cylinder into this opposite hole of the Platform Back, as shown:

Step 3

Retrieve your Platform Base assembly from Stage 50. Fit this Platform Base to the underside of the Platform Floor.

As you fit this, the D-shaped pin of the Nozzle Swivel Base should be pressed into the matching hole of the Platform Base:

At the same time, the two ‘hooks’ of the Platform Floor should latch over the exposed pin of each Piston T-post, as shown:

Secure the Platform Base to the Platform Floor with four (4) Type B screws:

Step 4

With the L-shaped ends of the Platform Ladder (circled below) towards the Platform Floor, firmly press the four pins of this Platform Ladder into the matching holes of the Platform Back, between the Pistons as shown:

Step 5

Slide the pin of the Nozzle into the hole at the curved end of the Nozzle Swivel Base. The black end of the Nozzle should face away from the Platform, as shown:

Step 6

Firmly press the two tabs of the Cable Run into the matching slots at this location on the Platform Rear, as shown:

Step 7

Firmly press the two pins of the Platform Control Box into the matching holes at this location inside the Platform Rear.

The pins on this Platform Control Box are different sizes, so this will only fit correctly one way:

Thoughts

This Platform assembly looks completely different once the base is installed and I think it looks great! Store this assembly somewhere safe for now as we won’t need it again for a while.
