Return to the BUILD
“You’ll continue to assemble another storage compartment that will eventually be fixed to the storage compartment frame from stage 33, and fix a door to the box frame.“
We have built a few compartments like this before, so this should feel quite familiar.

Parts
Materials: The Compartment Door Front (and the door hinges) are metal, while the remaining parts are plastic.
NOTE: Save any spare screws left over at the end of each stage of this build. They may be needed in later stages!
Build
Assembling a Storage Compartment and a Rear Door
Assemble a Storage Compartment
Apply some super glue to the two holes of the Compartment Door Back (and to the flat surfaces if needed), align it to the Compartment Door Front, and firmly press the two parts together.
Make sure the free ‘flap’ of the metal hinge is not caught between these parts:
Apply some super glue around the posts along this ledge of the Compartment Inner:
Secure the hinged metal tab of the Compartment Door assembly to this ledge, pressing it firmly into place.
Make sure this door can open and close correctly:
Apply some super glue to the D-shaped hole in the front of the Compartment Door Front, then press the pin of one of the Door Handles into the hole:
Assemble a Rear Door for the Fire Truck Main Body
Like before, apply some super glue to the two holes of the Left-Hand Rear Door Back (and to the flat surfaces if needed), align it to the Left-Hand Rear Door Front, and firmly press the two parts together. The two lugs are different sizes, so this will only fit one way.
Again, make sure the free ‘flap’ of the metal hinge is not caught between these parts:
Apply some super glue to the D-shaped hole in the front of the Left-Hand Rear Door Front, then press the pin of the remaining Door Handle into the hole:
Retrieve your Box Frame assembly from the previous stage. Fit this Left-Hand Rear Door to the rear left opening of the Box Frame, sliding the hinge tab between the Box Frame Shell and the Box Frame, as shown:
Make sure the holes of the door hinge align to the holes in the Box Frame Shell:
With these holes aligned, make sure the door can easily open and close correctly:
Secure the Left-Hand Rear Door into place from the outside with two (2) Type D screws.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
There are magnets hiding inside the top rear of the Box Frame that will help keep these doors closed:
That completes this stage! Just for fun, I grabbed the compartment we built back in Stage 07, as well as the two compartments we have built in this pack and temporarily slid them into the Storage Compartment Frame to see how they will look:
This Storage Compartment Frame will eventually be secured to the left side of the Box Frame assembly, like this:
Thoughts
Another of the many compartments done! It is worth noting that the last two screws of this stage are the first of many that will secure all of the Box Frame sections together.
