Parts
Materials: The Jump Seat is hard rubber, but the remaining non-electronic parts in this stage are plastic.
NOTE: Save any spare screws left over at the end of each stage of this build. They may be needed in later stages!
Build
Jump Seat, Cab Equipment & Front Left Light Cluster
Assembling the Seat
Super glue the flat side of the Seat Support to the bottom of the Jump Seat, making sure the post of the Seat Support is nearest to the back of the seat as shown:
Retrieve your Cab Floor Section assembly from Stage 18. Fit the peg and post on the bottom of the Seat Support down into the matching hole at this right central location of the Cab Floor Section:
Secure the Seat Support to the Cab Floor Section from below with one (1) Type H screw:
Assembling the Water Cooler
Firmly press the two halves of the Water Cooler parts together, inserting the pins into the respective posts as shown:
Press the pin on the bottom of the Water Cooler assembly into the hole at this location at the rear of the Cab Floor Section:
Attaching the Battery Charger
Press the D-shaped pin of the Battery Charger into this matching hole on right side of the rear console shelf, as shown:
Press the pin of the Cab Cylinder into the hole at this location in front of the Battery Charger, as shown:
Assembling the Front Light Cluster
Press the domed ends of the three LED Diffusers into these matching holes on the back of the Front Light Cluster.
The ‘back’ of the Front Light Cluster has the pins sticking up. Make sure these LED Diffusers are fully inserted, as shown:
Press the the two pins of the Turn Signal Lens (L) into the matching holes at the top front of the Front Light Cluster.
IMPORTANT: Be sure the raised arrow on the Turn Signal Lens (L) is facing the correct direction (to the right as seen below):
In the same way, press the two pins of each Headlight Lens in the matching holes at the lower front of the Front Light Cluster, as shown:
Fit the Light Cluster PCB to the rear of the Front Light Cluster (with the plug/wires facing up) so the notch in the PCB surrounds this pin:
Secure the Light Cluster PCB to the Front Light Cluster with one (1) Type M screw:
Thoughts
We are quick closing in on completion of the interior of our FDNY Tower Ladder 9 fire truck! Keep the unused Floodlight, Mirror, and Windshield Wiper stored safely until we need them later in the build.
