“In this next stage you’ll start to assemble the cab roof, adding a variety of components, including the left-hand side condenser and antenna.“
Materials: All of the parts in this stage are plastic.
Components for the Cab Roof
Firmly push the post of Antenna Part A into this hole of Antenna Part B until flush, as shown:
Firmly push the post of Antenna Part B into this hole of the Cab Roof, as shown:
Firmly push the two pins of the Condenser Grille Frame into these matching holes of the Condenser, as shown:
Apply a small amount of super glue along this inner ledge of the Condenser Grille Frame:
Fit the Condenser Grille into the Condenser Grille Frame as shown, and allow the glue to set:
Fit the two pins of the Condenser into these holes on the left side of the Cab Roof, as shown. The pins are different sizes, so this is intended to only fit the correct way:
Firmly press the two pins of the Radio Antenna into these holes on the Cab Roof, as shown. Like the Condenser, these pins are different sizes, so this is intended to only fit the correct way:
Retrieve your LED from the previous stage. Feed the plug and wiring of this clear LED through this center hole of the Roof Cab:
Firmly push the rectangular base of the LED into the matching opening of the Roof Cab, as shown:
We have just installed our first bit of lighting, that was quick for a partwork! I love the huge 9 on the roof too. Keep the unused Roof Component C and Roof Component D safe with the rest of these parts until we need them later on.
